Sponsorship Opportunities: Each year at this time we reach out to corporate leaders to join the Junior League of Rockford as an official partner in our quest to empower women to improve our community. Since 1930, the Junior League of Rockford has worked to better the Rockford area by training women to be exceptional volunteer leaders. Junior League of Rockford members have researched, developed and implemented programs in our area that have impacted more than 10 million lives! Our fundraisers support our mission of developing the potential of women, promoting voluntarism and improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our current signature project RAISE (Reaching and Inspiring Students for Education) is an initiative to increase access to and success in post high school education for financially disadvantaged, underrepresented, and first generation college students from the Rockford Public School System. Currently only 11% of Winnebago County residents have completed college. RAISE will introduce first generation college students to the opportunities of post-secondary education by a multi-stepped approach of one-on-one mentoring and assistance in the areas of: setting college goals, guided college visits, ACT test preparation, and filling out financial aid and college applications. By joining forces with us you can help us make an impact on the youth of our area and help us RAISE the number of adults with degrees in the Rockford area – an issue of critical importance to the economy of our area. Our sponsorship program provides a number of marketing options as well as an occasion to reach the approximately 1,500 people who will attend our 2010 fundraiser: Junior League Welcomes Bob Harper Saturday, April17th. We understand that this is first and foremost a marketing decision, however we will be happy to design a specific experience for your company that will give you the most value for your support. Our goal is to collaborate with our partners to develop extraordinary promotional programs that raise mutual awareness and ignite local action.
